It's is already a year the entire family of Shitta Bey lost a rare gem in Alhaja Latifat Olayinka Shitta Bey who died on 19th May, 2021.
Alhaja Latifat (Nee Smith) died at the age of ripe age of 85. She spent a life that is worthy of emulation.
As a way of remembering their lovely mother, the lovely children organized a prayer session to seek God's mercy upon her soul. In doing this, they invited family, friends and business associate to celebrate their mother for a life well spent.
The event was held at Maryland, Lagos under strict adherence to COVID 19 protocols.
Immediately after the prayer session anchored by a number Islamic clerics, the children hosted their guests to a big treat. Popular musical group, Awesome band was the entertainer of the day as all and sundry at the event center danced to his melodious classics.
The event was well attended by socialites making waves home and abroad. They were mostly dressed in Ankara fabrics popularly called Aso Ebi showcasing numerous fascinating fashion styles.
Alhaja Latifat Olayinka Shitta-Bey was a virtuous and hardworking. Being a teacher, sport and administrator, She sacrificed most of her life towards training her children and other children around her how to work hard and aim high. She was accommodating and never segregate on age, status, or religious ground. She survived by children, daughters - in-law, Sons-in - law, grand children and great grandchildren.
