Omolola Abibat Popoola is one of the successful big babes in the fabrics business in Lagos. She is good at what she does for a living. She has been into fabrics business for the past 9 years.


A few days back, Citypeople Online Fashion and beauty Magazine spoke to her about her success story and she revealed a lot about her experience in the fabrics business.


My name is Omolola Abibat Popoola daughter of Alhaji & Alhaja I A B Popoola (fmr Baba Adinni of Yewaland). I started my primary education at Command Children's school, Mokola, Ibadan from 1980to 1988


My secondary school education was at Mayflower Secondary School from 1988 to 1993


Tertiary education was at University of Ado-Ekiti from 1995 to 2001 where I studied Psychology.


I proceeded to England in 2002 where I studied Software testing & Project Management at Success Academy, Dagenham where I obtained the PRINCE 2 certificate in Project Management.


I worked as a Project Management private tutor for 2 years & a Claims officer at Cardiff Pinnacle Insurance, Borehamwood, UKfor 1year before returning to Nigeria in 2007.


I registered my company Pwetty in Silk Ltd, stockist of beautiful African prints, laces, Brocades & Atikufabrics for retailers & wholesalers in 2010.
I'm a humble mother of 2 teenage daughters.


I started my online business in 2006 retailing skin brightening glutathione, kojic, placenta & stem cell renewal products which included injections, lotions, shower gels & bar soaps as well as "hush" feminine hygiene products before registering my business with CAC & starting fabrics retailing & wholesaling in 2010.
