HOW TO ROCK THE GREAT GATSBY

 BRINGING THE 20’s IN YOUR BEAUTY.

In the Gatsby era women had a lot of fun with makeup. Nollywood emulated their spirited approach of beauty this weekend at a Gatsby themed event.

The 1920’s was the decade in which beauty was born  with the shadows, lipsticks and powders.

Hair

20’s was the year bobs were chic and bangs were blunt. Crowns were adorned with glittery, featheryheadbands. Modern day Gatsby girls can get away with layered bob with masculine shape in the back.

This would have been the perfect Gatsby hairstyle without the head piece

EYES

Keep the eyes dark and sultry with very full lashes to get that sooty effect of the 20’s.

You can also have some fun by drawing a beauty spot.

To recreate this look, apply dark  eyeshadow.

Like the mac carbon black eyeshadow  from the lash line to the brow line sweeping it  horizontally.

Extend gel liner slightly up and outward from the outer corner of the eyes. Then complete the look with full dramatic lashes.

LIPS

Nicely applied lipstick with pronounced cupid bow is the perfect Gatsby look .Rich  hues of red always does the trick ;deep reds, wines and plums which provides a great contrast to the skin.
