The Creative Director/Chief Executive Officer of the brand, Nonnistics is Nonye Goodie-Obi, a wife, mother, a former Banker, a UN Ambassador for Peace, a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Loan and Risk Management of Nigeria and a member of Chartered Management Institute United Kingdom.
Her educational background is Mathematics and Computer Science from Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria and a Master of Science in Corporate Governance from Leeds Metropolitan University (now Leeds Beckerth University) in the United Kingdom.
Nonye loves fashion and loves making people look good, stylish and fashionable. Her passion is to create a brand that will someday feed many households through employment opportunities and charitable works. She is Nigerian.
About Nonnistics
The brand Nonnistics is a versatile design house operating from Lagos, Nigeria. We consider ourselves as family clothiers because we design for men, women, children, bridals as well as costumes. Our designs are inspired by the world around us, the dynamic taste of our ever expanding clientele, our wacky imaginations and our values.
Nonnistics as a clothing label started operations in November 2017. In October 2018, the brand won an industry award as The Most Versatile Designer of the Year and was nominated for another industry award alongside older brands for The Best Designer of The Year Award.
Our pieces have been worn on major red carpet events in Nigeria by the A-list Celebrities in the Nigerian Entertainment Industry including The Academy (OSCARS) member and veteran Actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde. Both the CEO and the brand have been featured in some major magazines and prominent fashion blogs. We have also styled magazine cover faces for some magazines in Nigeria.
