Reflections On Life and Happenings In The Country - By Chief’s Granddaughter [Part 2 ]

Whether we want to tag it Boko Haram or Fulanisationin OBJ’s terms both are otherwise not devoid of religious insinuations. The desire to superimpose beliefs or seemingly adjust the status quo is rife, for the most part as confused as the agitation itself.

Why bomb the mosques or end up killing the very people you appear to be defending. The totally confused and troubled state has necessitated most of the scholars to take a second look at the tenets of Islam. To the extent that these religious wars or Jihad becomes or promotes the underlying question. If Islam does not propagate the preservation of life, how can it preach peace?

Is this really about the extension of ISIS, are we gradually a nation in compulsory war? Nobody is answering as we all are waiting for the agitation to cease without much effort.  The fact that this has not ended as expected, does necessitate calls for in-depth talks by all the factions including Churches, the peace we desire cannot be precipitated by imagination or simply wishing it away.

Peaceful coexistence includes not just geographical divisions but must accompany with it the synergy of viable belief systems as well. The Time really to revisit our constitution so as to dictate and accommodate systems and practices have come. The demand is imperative, fundamental for growth, the adoption being the way forward. Giving no hiding place or respite until we confront the demonstration of anomaly and neglect.

Now what does the future holds with this complete renaissance evoking a complete overhaul that must in essence birth the displacement of foundational errors, only then are we able to chart a new course? Many discuss past failures but provide no alternatives or solution this in itself is inappropriate. The need to increase our level of communication is imminent and we must again call on the brains, thereby encouraging many who have pioneered successfully at home and abroad to come and "get involved” to navigate and drive the 21st-century Nigerian accomplishment towards success.

We cannot afford to fail, it's unfortunate that we are not making use of President Jonathan's  confab effort,  as this still remains the reference point where unification effort is concerned  the need to  feel the pulse of all factions are urgent and sensible. The futuristic consideration must be all-inclusive, a divided Nigeria diminishes every form of growth. As it completely short circuits the labour of our heroes past. Let us all work together "Though tribe and tongues may differ in brotherhood we stand” Our wholesome survival as a nation hinges on this one factor.

I will talk on the Churches, women, economy, family life, Society and many other subjects as the Lord leads me. When we keep quiet on matters especially concerning life and death, we offend God. Essentially every one of us must seek for justice and speak truth into systems and practices. Knowing fully well that one day we must give account.  Ignorance is not bliss, before God, you shall stand inexcusable.  Let us endeavour to make the world a better place.
