How To Prep Your Beans For Akara

I know most of you will be peeling Beans for #akara or #moimoi this morning but i just thought to quickly tell you something.
.
This recipe will be up by 8pm today Saturday on www.youtube.com/user/ginaehikodi as usual (link is on my profile), however by 8pm your akara fit don done and digest 😂 . First, use that link to SUBSCRIBE to my channel now 😘.
.
I have various videos on that link detailing how to use the foodprocessor to peel your beans, and how you will spend less than 10minutes prepping for akara or moimoi but i feel i should take you through it again.
.
1. Don't bother to pick beans, measure it out and straight into a bowl of water to SLIGHTLY wet the skin. DON'T SOAK IT IN WATER
.
2. Put it in your foodprocessor and blitz for just about 30seconds. You will realise that the skin will look scratched and peeled without breaking the beans or bringing out "beans milk" because it wasn't soaked. Thereby, you are not loosing beans.
.
3. Pour processed beans into a bowl of water and rinse (water proportion should be more than beans) chaff and skin will come up then you sieve. Repeat till you get the amount of skin you want out. Don't fret if you don't get everything out, eating the skin is still good for you. The reason it is peeled most times is just for it not to slightly alter the akara colour or texture but skin isn't bad.
.
4. To get the stones out since you didn't pick the beans to avoid time wasting, pour water in your beans, get a clean bowl and begin to transfer beans by gently scooping beans from the top to the clean bowl. The stones and sand will stay down in the bowl, while you scoop beans out. You can repeat process one more time.
.
5. Blend with desired ingredients and use for your akara or moimoi
.
Thank you for taking the beans cleaning lectures ... you are welcome 😉 , if you think you didn't need it, please pass to your kids or those who cook for you 😂❤
