HOW BEING A TV PRESENTER HAS AFFECTED MY FASHION STYLE - TVC PRESENTER, MORAYO AFOLABI-BROWN

She is one of the best TV Presenters in Nigeria. Her face is well known because she is on TV every morning, on weekdays, except weekends, presenting her popular programme called Your View, which she co-anchors with other beautiful ladies.

Apart from the programme she is a top Manager at TVC, Morayo had lived and worked abroad before she relocated back a few years ago.

Being a TV star has affected her fashion style. lt takes a lot from her because she has to look all the time. She has to look lovely on set and when she goes for owambe parties she always looks gorgeous and Glamorous in her outfits.

A few days’ back Morayo Afolabi Brown told Citypeople online Fashion and beauty Magazine her style secrets.

How does she feel running Your View?, How has the journey been?
Thanks. Well, it feels great that our hard work and consistency is getting recognized and people appreciate the show more today. It’s been over 6years. When I conceived the idea of creating this show, I never knew it would be this successful. It was never the plan. We just wanted a platform for diverse women to discuss diverse issues. We are grateful to God for his mercies.

Does she feel fulfilled with what the programme has achieved in the past few years?

Oh yes. I feel it’s a work in progress. We’ve become benchmarks for many similar shows on TV and we are excited about that. The more the merrier. Women must begin to break the shackles and speak. So, we are proud of this.

The Morayo Afolabi Brown brand has become a big one. How does she cope with it?
Has it? Well, that’s arguable. However, I’ve always told members of the team that we must not rush success or fame. When we put in the work, it will come. You can’t hide a 9momts pregnancy. Therefore, If you seek money but you find honour, that is sufficient.

How does her job as a TV Presenter affect her dressing?Does it put her under any pressure?

Truth is, I do a fantastic job of separating Morayo “TV” and Morayo “regular”. We have a wardrobe unit that puts our clothing together formthe show. When I’m off TV, I’m a plain Jane. However, I do make efforts to look the part sometimes.

How did she get into broadcasting? Was it in the US or when she returned to Nigeria?

Watching “The View” in the US inspired the show. I watched that show from day 1 of premier and fell in love with it. So when I moved home, I knew I had to start my own  version.

What does she wear to parties?

What does she wear to work?

Truth, my husband. He seriously loves fashion. Left to me, I can wear a simple ankara to an owambe but when I see my Oga finish dressing up, looking GQ, I quickly find something that is befitting.
