Wessy Tailoring and Vocational Institute “WETVI” is a private owned tailoring Institute located at Abeokuta, Oke-Mosan road, Ogun State. The school was officially opened April 25th 2018 by the founder “Otunba Wasiu Jayeola Taiwo”, who is a well-known tailor in Nigeria and Abroad. He is the chairman of Nigerian Union of Tailors “NUT” .
WETVI is an Institute that has trained graduate of different disciplines to become independent and self employed with this handwork “tailoring and craft”. The Institute trains both in the practical, theoretical and the merchandising aspects just to eradicate unemployment and illegal business “internet fraud”.
The institute held her first graduation ceremony on Friday 20th , September 2019 at her new site 12, Ademola Adetokunbo Crescent , GRA, Ibara, Housing Estate, Abeokuta, Ogun State . The occasion was graced by elites, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle “ The Olu of Ilaro and Paramount ruler of Yewaland, Prince Dapo Abiodun “Governor of Ogun State “, Chief Olusegun Osoba, Wale Saranda the owner of Western Quarry Limited, Olootu Ogooluwa Bankole founder of Mercyland Group of schools, Barrister Taiwo Adeoluwa, Chief (Mrs) Matilda Iyabo Apampa , Zmirage, Mrs Temitope Olanre Alade “Director of studies Wessy Tailoring and Vocational Institute “.
The Institute graduated 33 students and some of the students have started the practicing the profession within and outside Abeokuta. The founder of the school “Otunba Wasiu Taiwo” urge the support of the governmental bodies to support the vision that he has for the institute and the citizens .
