-Exclusive Details Of The Party
All roads led to Balmoral Convention Center, Federal Palace Hotel on Victoria Island, Lagos as 2 popular families held a classy wedding for their children. It was a day of joy for the families of Chief Dr Rafiq Olayiwola Ogunbambi and Mr. Eghe Micheal Osamwonyi. The event paraded many top personalities, politicians, Obas and Lagos socialites. The party was one of the classy weddings held in Lagos this year. The colours of the day were Blush/Mustard and White and Fuscia pink.
The wedding was between Mariam Adeola Ogunbambi, the beautiful daughter of a Lagos politician, Chief Olayiwola Ogunbambi and Micheal Osamwonyi, who is from a popular family in Edo State. More than 1000 socialites were at the party. The event was not just crowded. It was graced by notable personalities in Nigeria.
Three different Aso-Ebi was picked for the wedding. That was one of the reasons that made it memorable for the two families as they spared no cost to ensure the event was successful.

At The Engagement
The programme started with prayers and shortly after the prayers, the groom came in with his entourage. He wore one of the latest Agbada designs, which was decorated with a gold aso-oke. He complimented it with a peach cap. His designer shoes were eye-catchers. The groom danced to the seats of the bride’s family with his friends; he greeted them and told them his reason for coming.
The bride was also led in by her pretty aso-ebi Bellas. She rocked a gold embellished Aso-Oke, styled into a beautiful Komole design. Her coral beads were mixed with white 18-carat gold and diamond. She was, indeed, a very stylish bride because her shoes and purse spoke luxury.
THE GRAND ENTRY OF THE COUPLE
The stunning and lovely couple came in and everyone turned on their seats to catch a glimpse of them. Their beautiful Edo attire speaks volume, as they walked down the aisle, with a sign of royalty. The bride was gorgeously dressed in a white luxury fabric, which she used in tying a wrapper. She adorned expensive coral beads. Her beaded crown was something that could not be ignored. It sat well on her head and added to her beauty. The groom also rocked native attire.
Top and wrapper, he complemented it with lovely coral beads and a dignifying crown. They walked in and stole the show. It was really their event.
Groom’s Family Entrance
It is every parent’s wish to witness his/her child’s big day. The groom’s parents came in exuding so much joy and happiness. They danced to the wonderful music of King Sunny Ade.
At The Cake Stand
Sir Kesington Adebutu, the Chairman of Premier Lotto Limited and owner of the popular Baba Ijebu Lottery supervised the cutting of the cake. It was co-ordinated by Mrs. Yembra, Mrs. Genny Adeosun and Mrs Titi Adenuga. It showed that it was a gathering of top and distinguished personalities in Nigeria. Before the cutting of the beautiful cake, Sir Kesington gave a short speech.
He said: “We all know the significance of cake at wedding. The main ingredients of a cake are flour and sugar, I pray by the Grace of God, you marriage will be sweet like Sugar. The Lord will bless your marriage with every good things and you two will always be friends.” He congratulated them and wished them a happy married life.
Chairman Delivers A Great Speech
Top property merchant, Sir Olu Okeowo, was the Chairman of the lovely event. He delivered a wonderful speech. He started with prayers for the couple, families and everyone present at the event. He welcomed all guests and advised the couple to always stay together in all situations. He said they had become one and should always standby each other.
He advised the wife to be submissive to her husband and always pray together. He said a family that prays together sticks together. He ended his speech with prayer that God would grant giants them everything they request for their good life.
Joke Sogunro And Friend Stand Out
Top society woman and business mogul, Mrs. Joke Sogunro, stood out at the event. Mention society women that always make heads turn at parties in Lagos, she is one of them. She has been on social scene for over 3 decades and she still attracts people attention whenever she storms a party. This is because of her fashion sense, despite the fact that she loves to look simple, but be very sure that her simplicity is luxury. She always exudes luxury whenever he steps out. Her luxury Emerald Green lace was one of the reason everyone couldn’t take his/her eyes from her. She stole the show at her daughter’s wedding because she was a cynosure. She left no stone unturned to make sure the event is successful.
Her Gele was well embellished with different beautifying elements that one would have thought she was the bride. What about her beautiful jewellery? It complement her outfit.
Breaking Of Kola
In accordance to the tradition of Edo people, breaking of Kolanut is a major thing at wedding. The groom’s father presented the Kolanut to Bride’s family. He also said that, the couple could not be pronounced husband and wife without offering and receiving of the Kolanut from the two families. He offered Kolanut to the bride’s family as a means of accepting their daughter and as a way of assuring the bride’s family that they will always take good care of their daughter.
They all prayed for the couple for lovely children, wealth, good health, happiness and the peaceful life.

Ever stunning Mrs. Joko Adeusi stole show with her lovely outfit and luxury 18 carat Gold jewellery. She is known to be a fashionista. Most guests didn’t expect anything less from her. Let us also add that she dazzled all through.
