Meet T.V. Star, Yvonne Chinonye Onokah

She's one of the hottest TV presenters on the scene right now. She is good at what she does. She is a damn good presenter.

City People Online Fashion and Beauty Magazine spoke to her recently about her success story. She revealed a lot about her successful career and style.

My name is Yvonne Chinonye Onokah.
My journey into media began when I watched Subulola Omokri on Ltv8 entertainment and lifestyle program and I decided, this is what I want to do with my life. Television presenting. I was however only 16years old.
I still cannot explain what moved me but I got in a public transport and went from Lagos Mainland to Eko to see her and tell her she inspires me.

She was so kind and gracious and encouraged me to pursue my dreams.
I went on to sign with Modela modelling agency that same year, that's 16 years ago and my career started with ushering jobs, a few fashion shows which included bridals as well and some magazine and newspaper spreads.

I was in a few editions of Juice magazine as a model and then I started getting invited to events and my pictures and outfits made the fashion to do lists for Punch newspapersThisdayLife and lots more.

I went on to work with Joan Okorodudu of ISIS Models and was a model scout, a red carpet presenter etc. There I gathered wealth of experience on what it truly takes to be in the business side of entertainment as well as behind the scenes.
I now work with Prince Bisi Olatilo as a presenter and producer for a 5 days a week , one hour television show called Biscon Daily and also work with another online television media called Gbedustreet TV as a presenter and producer for another show called Being Candid with Yvonne Chinonye.

I juggle these two jobs as well as write, as I am a publisher, author of my novel; Behind The Smile.
Prior to working with the companies I am with now, I worked as a television presenter and producer at Galaxy Television and I had two programmes, a red carpet show and a musical show.

I resigned from Galaxy TV and went to Mitv and worked on Star FM where I was on radio 3 times a week for an hour radio entertainment programme.
I also had 2 television programmes on Mitv, one, an event/red carpet program and the other, a one hour magazine holistic entertainment programme that started with newspapers reviews.
