Now she is into corporate communications. She is a guru in handling media issues. The big news is that Seun who is happily married is celebrating her birthday right now. Though there is no party because of the current lockdown she is in a happy mood because of the gift of life.
She has a lot to be happy about. She has had an accomplished career in the media and corporate world and she is today rated one of the best-dressed ladies in Nigeria.
How did she achieve this? How come she is always on point all the time? What determines what she wears to parties?
These and many more were the questions Citypeople Online Fashion and beauty magazine asked her recently and she revealed a lot about her fashion and style.
My Fashion Style-
I think I subconsciously imbibed my mother’s sense of style. For her time, she was quite fashionable. I love to wear things I’m comfortable in, things that suit me. I don’t just follow a trend for the sake of it. I’m rather a trendsetter- I’m happy to see that a lot of people look out for my styles to make. I meet random people who show me my pictures on their phone they have saved because of the clothing styles, even men (for their wives).
As for always being on point, that comes quite effortlessly for me. Like I said I wear what I feel comfortable in. I design my clothes, I do my own makeup most of the time(because I don’t like it heavy) and I have my signature gele(which I tie myself). No one really can know your body like you! Besides, don’t they say looking good is good business? Lol!
I have been in the fashion business for over 23 years running boutiques and even have a Ready-to-wear Line called SOFAB(Acronym for Seun Olagunju Fashion and Beauty). My fashion businesses have people who run them. I'm just a creative designer.
I left mainstream broadcasting for now but I still work for the Federal government. Bank of Industry.
Those close to me know I love Louis Vuitton and Gucci- bags, shoes, perfumes,jewelry, accessories, luggage.
I use other designers too but those are more. I love shoes a lot, so I buy from anywhere I see the ones i like. For clothes, like I said I wear whatever suits me, whether designer or street fashion. For African, I wear my brand of course!
