FABULOUSITY & AFFORDABILITY

Jennifer Oseh is a Lagos based digital creator, fashion influencer, a creative consultant and director within the industry. Popularly know as theladyvhodka on her Instagram handle, she also has her own fashion design label called wildkulture and supports the charity organisation Mirabel Centre. Calling her a style connoisseur is stating the obvious.

She is avant-garde, edgy, eclectic, fashion forward and very unafraid to push boundaries when it comes to pairing prints, colours and textures. This is a sign of confidence which states, she is encouraging people to explore their inner "wild child" without fear.

Stripes and leopard prints are still present in the fashion circles, although mostly worn separately, theladyvhodka's take on this, set the tone for this edition's FAA. She paired these clashing prints together, in a burgundy and white wide legged side-split stripe pants, and leopard print poets blouse, making it work seamlessly along with a wide brim hat, barely there sandal, some dark sunnies and a mini top handle bag, a combination indicating why she commands a lot of respect in the industry. She makes "the impossible look possible" with her style ideas.

As a firm believer in fabulousity and affordability, and a self-confessed lover of clashing prints, this look excited me greatly, that I immediately found similar prints in my wardrobe, which I hastily put together. (The hat belongs to my husband).

I have also arranged similar pieces just to give more ideas how to achieve this look. Thank God almost everything is within reach these days, and we can pick and choose what we are able to afford. If this style idea excites you, similar outfits can be purchased online ie. if you cannot afford them from wildkulture.

Or maybe simply get the fabrics and ask your tailor to make them for you. It can also  be mixed and matched as it suits you. My pants are from River Island, chiffon leopard print blouse is from WAREHOUSE mini purse is from a TK Maxx brand, heels were from SCHUH and Sunnies are from Missoni.

Finally, it is worth noting the rules to pulling off clashing prints. Confidence is one of them. Once that is missing, please do not attempt the look at all. That is because the outfit will swamp you, and you could come across as a masquerade or a clown. "Always wear the clothes, don't let the clothes wear you". Is the style advise this time.
Let's see your photos if ever you try out our styling tips. Winning entries will be given a shine.
