WELCOME TO TRIPPING

This segment is all about travels and tours from all across globe where you be will introduced to different parts of the world, the people, their culture, their cuisine, fashion, and some "must visit" sites. TRIPPING will feature travellers, travel bloggers and anyone willing to share their travel experiences with Chanty's Fashion and Lifestyle.

Tripping's first travel enthusiast is Julian Warner. He is taking us on some of his travels and adventures. Born and raised in Antigua and Barbuda, one of the beautiful islands in the Caribbean. Julian studied Travel and Tourism in the United States after receiving a scholarship. It was at this point he caught the proverbial travel bug.

Having travelled the USA extensively, he was impressed by how diverse the country was in art, architecture, food, music and much more. This was his inspiration to journey across the world in a bid to explore more. His travels spans 5 continents, 48 countries and over 200 cities. He stated, his experiences have gone from being charmed, amazed, mesmerized and enlightened. All these positives are an encouragement for others to explore the world if and when they can.

Recounting some special moments of countries visited, he disclosed that he was humbled by the grace of the Tibetans. They welcomed him with open arms and unconditional love. In the island of Samoa he encountered a landscape which is righteous, with pristine beaches and was impressed by the rugged mountains. In Rio De Janeiro Brazil, he found the Favelas both intense and fascinating. His travel to Africa took him to Ethiopia where he found the people gentile and very religious. Visiting at a time of famine and hunger, he stated it was sad seeing people beg for food on the streets, a picture of Ethiopia we are all familiar with but thank God it is different today. The sites he explored while there were Lake Tana a distributary from the Nile River, he saw Lucy the ancient fossil, and also spent time with a local Oromo Family in Nazareth at a yard in the Haile Sellasie's church of worship. When it came to food, he gave the Japanese top marks saying the culinary experience both refreshing and tantalizing.

Travelling rejuvenates an avid traveller like Julian.  Ancient architecture, art, traditional cultures, music, food and landscapes are great inspirations for him. His ultimate joy comes from connecting with the natives wherever he goes, he tries to understand how they live, work and communicate with each other. These experiences he takes back with him to share with others giving informed knowledge about the different countries and her indigenous peoples.

Julian is an avant-garde/eclectic dresser, he is that guy who does style and panache, fully dressed on a beach and is not out of place. He lives in Toronto Canada, speaks Italian and is a part-time lecturer in Hospitality and Tourism studies.

Tripping wishes Julian many more exciting travel adventures post COVID-19. We expect him to hopefully go and explore other parts of Africa like Nigeria as his DNA tests showed he is 88% Luhya, 8% Khoisan and 89% Yoruba.
More of Julian’s travel experience can be seen on his Instagram handle vita allegra.
