Watch Out For Ace Footballer, FATAI ATERE's Explosive Interview With Citypeople


Ace Footballer, Fatai Atere who now lives in Maryland in the US has come out to reveal what we need to do to move Nigerian football forward.

He was the guest of Citypeople on one of its daily live chats. Fatai Atere who was part of the Golden Eaglets 1985 team that won the 1st ever FIFA world cup in China recalled how he and his colleagues played for Nigeria in those good old days. He was the captain in 1987 in Canada's Runners up game.

Citypeople had an exciting session with him as he revealed a lot about his life which many don't know.


He confessed that he has missed playing active football. He told us about his growing up years in Mushin, Lagos.


He told us how this same Gen. Muhammadu Buhari who was then the head of state of Nigeria named a street after him in Matori area of MushinLagos. His colleagues also had the same honour bestowed on them.


He also revealed how he became one of the best dressed Naija footballers and how he has continued that tradition even in the US where he lives with his family.
