Gbenga Osifeso is a great guy. Everyone loves him. He is fun to be with. He dresses well. He is stylish. And he loves to look good all the time. Don't forget, that he is a Fashion stylist. He consults for many.

A few days back, Citypeople Publisher, SEYE KEHINDE spoke to him about his life and why everyone likes to hang out with him in London. Below are excerpts of the interview.

A lot of people like Gbenga Osifeso. What is the secret?

I guess that....people like me as I am a real to real person and I get on with everybody without segregating.

You have a warm personality that endears people to you. How did you cultivate that kind of personality?

I guess I learnt that from my late mother......No1...To be honest. To be genuine with people and to accept people as they are...

You are a Man of Style. How did that start also?

I guess I have always loved looking good from quite a young age...My late uncle, use to call me “The suit man”...saying that when I was a kid, I always wanted to dress up in suits... Plus, my late dad, loved styling himself, I remember watching him getting ready to either go on his daily business or to a function and I would just sit there watching and admiring his dressing up style.

What does it take you to look ready for an event or party? How do you decide what to wear for various events?

Wao! I would let you into a secret, I am a spontaneous person...Normally, if I get invited to a party or function, I start engaging it in my head what I am going to wear. Then, on the day itself, as I am getting ready, I start to get different coordinations in my head. Then, I start putting it up until I am satisfied that, this is what I would wear.

Tell us about your growing up years. Where were you born?

I was born in London....I went back to Nigeria, when I was 8yrs old....Left Nigeria, when I was 18yrs old....The funny thing is that I really learnt a lot growing up in Nigeria. As I am a fast learner.....I saw life very early....And I grabbed it and embraced it.

Tell us about your schooling and courses studied...

During my growing up time in Nigeria, I went to 3 different schools as I fell into the wrong crowd, so my father moved me from one place to another...I started in Birch freeman high school, then my father transferred me to Isonyin grammar school and finally got transferred back to Ansar–Ud-Deen grammar school in Surulere, where I finished my WAEC...came to London, studied Business Administration in Croydon college and a private business school called Emilia Woolf, also in London....

What do you do?

I have always worked all through my life.....At the moment, I work with a top food chain and I also juggle myself as a fashion stylist to people of my generation that loves dressing up, but don't have the time...That's, where I come in....Coordinate what I think might suit them ,in a way, a personal stylist...

Are you single or married? Tell us about your love life. Who is the lucky woman?

I was married, being divorced for nearly 20 years......But now, I am in a beautiful and serious relationship with a fantastic lady called Florence. She completes me....And I love her to bit.....She is the opposite of me, very quiet and reserved....

What sort of a Guy is Gbenga Osifeso?

Wao! I guess I would say that I have being through my ups and downs in life and I decided to learn from the good and the bad.....and mold myself into this person that appreciate, embrace, respect and enjoy life. I have also learnt to appreciate people for who they are....So, I would say that I am just a normal guy with a good and bubbly heart.

Any regrets in life? What are your Goals and plans for 2021?

I have been working with some upcoming fashion designers and actually that has inspired me to do something that I really love with my whole heart....Launching my fashion label....Hopefully, waiting for this pandemic to come to an end. Then, I would start the Launching of my label....it's in the pipe work already...plus, I am also writing a book about my life...Because, I want people that just know me to have a good insight of who I was during my growing up and to also learn from my mistakes in life and finally to see, how the Almighty Father took over my life and make me, who I am now.......Like, I always say....I GIVE GOD THE GLORY FOR MY LIFE. BECAUSE, WITHOUT HIM, I AM NOTING....
