This
is the intimate story of a very beautiful Lagos Fashion designer called Kofo Akande. She runs a wave-making fashion house called Kofo Stitches.
She
is very good at what she does. She is creative. She is talented and she knows
how to read correctly what her clients want. It is for this reason that she
gets a lot of referrals almost on a daily basis.
Citypeople Publisher, Seye Kehinde recently spoke to her about her success story and she revealed what makes her a force to reckon with in the Fashion industry. Below are excerpts of the interview.
Tell
me about your experience in the fashion industry so far...
It is not an easy task but I thank God for the
growth so far. Getting your client to trust you and to come back you have to be
able to convince them with a good job and a perfect finishing.
How
did you become a Fashion designer?
I have a passion for
fashion designing right from my
secondary school days, and after trying so many businesses and finding it difficult to make a headway I decided following my passion
and I thank God I followed my passion
because all things are working together for my good in the business.

me about Kofo stitches
My name is Kofoworola Akande. I got that name Kofo
stitches
from my name and it is situated at 11a Omodara Street, Awuse Estate Opebi, Lagos.

You get hooked on your first visit.
Tell
me about your growing up. Where were you born?
I was born in Surulere. At No 7 Baruwa
street, Ijesha, in Lagos. It was fun growing up in the midst of so many
children of my age, (face me I face you). Well it was there I got my street
sense from and I that God that some of the experience I got while growing up
has really helped me in the business world.
I grew up in a family of six of my parents and my 3
siblings I am the second child. I have a very wonderful and supportive family.
Who
are your kind of customers?
I have so many celebrities as customers and many
from outside the country.
And so many amiable women of God.
