HOW TO MAINTAIN A BALANCED PH LEVEL .

 



  Your lifestyle plays an important role in your overall health and well-being.

The pH level is the measurement  of acidity or alkalinity  in your blood and stomach.Optimal pH levels are between  6.5 and 7.5. When the pH level is lower than 6.5,the body is considered  acidic and when the pH level is higher than 7.5,the body is considered  alkaline.

Your body's  pH level (Acid base balance) is influenced  by different factors  which includes;

*Diet *Exercise *The quality of air you breathe *Stress levels.

One of the ways  to improve  your wellbeing  is by eating a healthy diet.The foods that you eat may alter your pH level. If your body becomes too acidic,a variety  of health problems  may occur as most diseases  tend to thrive in an acidic environment.

Examples of foods that acidic are;

*Beef  *Dairy Products  *Refined Sugars *Processed foods *Sodas.

EFFECTS OF HIGH ACIDITY

  Chronic acidity has been linked to a number  of diseases namely;

It can also result  in death of cells and tissues.

 

To balance  your body's  pH level, there  should  be a deliberate change in your lifestyle.70-80%  of your diet should be alkaline foods.Eat more of Fruits, vegetables, lean protein  and grains daily.

 

EXAMPLES OF ALKALINE FOODS

*Oatmeal *Watermelon  *Unsweetened  Yogurt *Bananas

*Green vegetables:

 Spinach ,Kale,

 Broccoli,Cucumbers,

 Avocados etc.

*Aloe Vera gel.

  In addition, take 3-4 litres of water daily.This helps the Kidneys filter waste and restore the pH level of the body.
