On Saturday, 31st, July, 2021,
Oyindamola and Adeleke officially sealed their courtship and love in the Yoruba
traditional style, with family and friends as their witnesses.
The day was set to be a day of
beautiful colours and flowers at D’Haven event center in ikeja, Lagos State
which was set up to taste by Pklamour. Pklamour was seen setting all vendors
right as she assigned set ups for the 10 vendors ready to serve the day.
The entrance of the venue was set to receive
guests with hot coffee and champagne before they were ushered to the backdrop
for photographs. The backdrop was an Ijobazee themed background with the huge
pre-wedding photos standing with white petals on the walkway.
Guests started to walk in at 1pm
dressed in army green lace attires with matching geles as the men appeared in
white sokoto and buba with matching fila.
The friends of the bride and groom could be
easily spotted, as they dressed in a green floral lace aso ebi with black geles and multi colored ipele,while
the groom’s men came in, dressed in white flowing agbadas and ash colored caps.
The event went into full swing at
2pm when the Alaga iduro representing the 2 families climbed on the huge stage
set aside for the bride and groom.
They started with lots of songs
and prayers to declare the programme
open. They then called on the bride’s parents,Alhaji Sikiru Anibaba, Alhaja Tawakalitu Anibaba and Alhaja Abimbola
Anibaba up to the stage amidst dancing and singing. They took their seats and
the groom’s family was called in.
Mr. Gbenga Adetimeyin and Alhaja Fatima
Adetimeyin danced in,accompanied by their family members towards the family of
the bride, as they seek the hands of
Oyindamola Zainab Anibaba as their daughter-in-law.
After this, the groom, Samson
Adeleke Adetimeyin, popularly called Ijoba,danced in with his friends in the
most glamorous way,moving towards his intended in-laws, to also ask for
Oyindamola’s hand in marriage.
Oyindamola popularly called Zee,
by her friends also danced in,dressed in a deep green aso oke material ,covered
with shimmering stones and colors. Her friends also danced in by her side, as
she went to her parents to receive their blessings before going to her
husband’s family.
She later danced towards the
Anibaba's seat, as they also prayed for her and ushered her to meet Ijoba.
Thereafter, Oyindamola and
Adeleke exchanged their rings and then went out to change for the reception
proper.
Damola Onibudo and Esteem band
took the stage,playing lovely Fuji strings,as guests were catered for by all
the vendors present. Just then the popular hip hop artist in person of 9ice
(Alapo Meji) climbed up the stage to usher the newlyweds into the reception.
They both walked in dressed in matching well
stoned black aso Oke materiel with a matching black gele and danced to the
songs of 9ice and songs played by Dj Khoded. After this, the after-party for
friends of the bride and groom began fully.
