She is a beautiful lady. She is stylish also. And she has made a name for herself in Nollywood. She lives in Toronto, Canada where she is doing so well. A few days back, Hajia Yosola Salami spoke to CityPeople about her success story. Below are excerpts of the interview.

Please introduce yourself to us and what you do for a living

I work in a health care field. I am married with kids and grandkids. Presently I live in Toronto Canada with my family.

How did acting start for you?

I started acting while I was in primary school stage plays, up till this moment. I left Nigeria in the 1980s for abroad.

I was in Nigeria for vacation in 2003 that was when Mojisola  Olaiya of blessed memory introduced me back to the industry, where I met a lot of loved people like Dele Odule, Yinka Quadri, Taiwo Hassan, Lanre Balogun, Yemi Amodu, Faithia Balogun, Lola Alao,  Naomi Nwosu, Bimbo Salako to name a  few.

When I left Nigeria, I thought my movie career was over, but anytime I travelled home, I am always at the location.

2 years ago, one of my sisters Otunba  Kemi Agbeke called me to tell me they were about to start Tampan in Canada. I was so happy to hear that. That was how I joined Tampan in Canada.

I became Vice President of this great association. I had the opportunity to feature in some movies in Nigeria, and Canada. I have been acting from 2003 till the present.

How has the experience been?

It has been quite challenging. I didn't get a chance in a movie role due to my work schedule.

Who are those she rolls with in the industry?

I do roll with a lot of actors here in Canada like Temidayo Enitan Tampan  EVP, Lola Alao, Bobo Oloye(platinum) Akeem Ogunmilade (Exprame) Nosa Obaseki, Deborah Ewedafe, Ajoke, Femi baba legba, Iyameto, princess Becky, Baba Kosangba to name few.

Where were you born? Where did you grow up?

I was born in Sagamu Ogun State. I attended my primary, and secondary school in Sagamu. I grew up in Lagos, Awoyokun at Onipanu area, in Lagos. In Canada I attended Cenntenial College where I earned my BSC, then I went to George Brown College for my Nursing course.
