On Sunday 23rd September, 2022, Egbe Bobagunwa Obinrin Akile Ijebu (Igbinmo Alatunto) threw a big party in Ijebu Ode. This was to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of this prestigious group,whose membership has grown from strength to strength since its formation,3 years ago.
Egbe Bobagunwa Obinrin Akile Ijebu, (Igbinmo Alatunto) is a prominent age-grade group in Ijebu land. Its membership covers women born between 1st January ,1980 and 31st December,1982. Most members of the group are beautiful society ladies who are high successful and industrious,in their individual businesses.
As part of celebrating its anniversary, the group led by stunning beauty,Iyalode Elizabeth Aduramigba Akinola extended its hands of benevolence to over 100 women in Ijebu communities.
Among the beneficiaries are widows, the aged and the indigents.
Duration the 3rd Anniversary celebration, the group took time to unveil their Baba Egbe (Patron), Otunba Dolapo Balogun and the Matron (Iya Egbe) Chief Mrs. Olanrewaju Mopelola Olufeko, while Dr. Ambassador Olukemi Kuku was decorated as their Adviser, among others.
The ceremony was a glamorous one. It saw the presence of the executive Chairman of Odogbolu Local Government,Hon. Ladejobi Shuaib Adebayo and his entourage. Also, a number of notable kings in Ijebu land graced the party. They include the likes of the Saderiren of Isonyin, HRH Oba Abdul Rasheed Omotayo Cossy Salami; HRH HRM Oba Engr. Isiaka Ajede, Ogirimadagbo of Ilodo Kingdom; the Ebumawe of Ago Iwoye, HRH Oba Abdulrazak Adenugba while some socialites and celebrities were also at the ceremony. Popular paper merchant and Socialite,Laide Fowosere looked stylish in his all white dress and his red cap.
The presence of members of some other popular age grade groups in Ijebu didn’t go unnoticed. They stormed the party in their unique but classy attires, making different style statements.
Meanwhile,popular music sensation , Alayo Melody Singer was the artiste that dazzled at the event.He was at his best performance on stage as many of the guests danced to his trendy and melodious music.
He is one of the hottest singers currently making waves across the South West.His Boys came in his brand new bus and he drove in later in a lovely white Range Rover jeep.
It was a classy event.
