One of the emerging female age-groups, otherwise known as Regberegbe, in Ijebuland, has congratulated the paramount ruler and Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba (Dr) Sikiru Kayode Adetona on the celebration of his 62 years on the throne.
In a congratulatory message signed by the Iyalode of the Regberegbe Obinrin (1983,84, 85), Iyalode Oyindamola Okebunmi and made available to newsmen in Ijebu Ode on Friday, April 1, 2022, the group noted that Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, Ogbagba II, Paramount ruler of Ijebuland from the Anikinaiya Ruling House has achieved significant feats since he ascended the throne of his forebears on April 2, 1960, and thus become the father of the modern day Ijebuland.
The statements reads;
"With greatest respect and honour, we congratulate Your Majesty on this most glorious day; your 62nd coronation anniversary as the Awujale of Ijebuland.
Your Majesty's love for the people, endless service and wise leadership, has brought great political, economic and social successes to Ijebuland, making your reign to be most prosperous and peaceful. As a result, your subjects are happy and rever Your Majesty with love, respect and praise. Hence, the world holds Your Majesty's outstanding achievements in high regard.
On this note, we join the world to extend our congratulations to Your Majesty on this grand occasion.
May the God and our ancestors continue to bestow precious blessings upon you as you reign further, and all the Ijebu people.
