My name is Adeola Idonije-Badmus and I am the founder and creative director at ADIRE TRIBE. We design, produce and sell quality/affordable Adire fabrics which we also infuse into fashion and interior accessories.
The Nigerian textile industry is almost non-existent. We are one of the largely populated countries without a flourishing textile industry, but we are good at putting fabrics to good use. Adire has been in existence over some decades but a large amount of these fabrics have been purchased by foreigners.
But lately, the Adire business is becoming more profitable and visible in the Nigerian market as Nigerians at home and abroad are keying into the "Buy made in Nigeria” initiative. Also, our fashion designers are infusing Adire into their designs for Top fashion events, celebrities, and political personnel.
So we at ADIRE TRIBE came up with trendy/quality patterns by giving our customers "Modern touch in History” aside from the traditional patterns that have been in existence over the years. We are looking forward to seeing ADIRE TRIBE become the number one indigenous textile brand in Nigeria with different factories in at least 5 states in the country.
We intend to train over 1000 women and unemployed youth so that they can create a sustainable income for themselves. Also, see our brand exporting our fabrics to the USA, Europe and other African countries.
