First and foremost our hair needs proper care before we can think of styling it. Here are some few routines to follow for healthy hair.

1. Consume balanced diets and drink excess water to avoid hair breakage.

2. Use natural hair care products like coconut oil, apple cider vinegar, and honey.

3. Use natural mild shampoos and conditioners, also take in consideration that you use the conditioner after shampooing to moisturize your hair so as to give it an extra shield and shine, making it less static and easy to untangle.

4. Use a wide-toothed comb to detangle wet hair instead of brushing it.

5. Dry your hair with minimal heat, as extreme heat will damage the hair.

6. Brush your hair 3-4 times a day to stimulate your scalp, it promotes natural oils and removes dead scalp tissue.

7. Get your hair trimmed every 30days to promote its growth and shed dead ends. This helps ease your ability to style your hair.

8. Choose satin pillow covers so as to reduce hair breakage due to friction, cotton and other materials are rough in texture.

9. Dry hair cautiously by pat drying, do not rub with a towel, and use a soft cotton cloth to dry it off.

10. Oil the scalp frequently and use a gentle shampoo to get rid of the oil. A proper moisturizing for the scalp is good for the hair but it shouldn’t be in excess.

11. Don’t use too many products on your hair and the essentials hair products to have is “shampoo, conditioner, serum, and hair cream”.

Different Hairstyles to rock:

Pixie haircuts: is a short hairstyle generally short on the back and sides of the head and slightly longer on the top and very short bangs. It’s a variant of a crop. You can swerve your hairstyle by rocking this.

Box braids: it comprises of squared hair division, it’s a common hairstyle for black women. Also, a protective hairstyle for naturalists and it can be styled in different ways.

Natural Afro: is a hairstyle majorly worn by blacks with natural hair, the hairstyle is often shaped and maintained with the assistance of a wide-toothed comb.

Jumbo braids: a great hairstyle for summer. It can be styled as a chunky weaved ponytail or sequenced chunky braids.

Teeny weeny Afro: abbreviated as TWA, it looks really good and last long when it is consistently cut.

Cornrow braids: also known as cane rows, it can be in two rows or more than two rows. They are in the form of bold braids, the hair is braided very close to the scalp.

Senegalese twist: also referred to as rope twist, a protective style for Afro-textured hair.

Faux locks: are temporary protective styles similar to box braids whereas lock extensions are intended to be a permanent extension of your hair.

Marley twists: it has the feature of a two strand twists though it has a low maintenance and less volume.

Ponytail: the hair is pulled away from the face, gathered and secured at the back of the head with an hair tie, clip or other hair accessories and allowed to hang freely.

French braids: also known as tresse africaine is a braided hairstyle. The three strand gathered plait includes three sections of hair that are braided together from the crown of the head to the nape of the neck.

Asymmetrical bob: is short in length and cut into a bob that is uneven. One side is longer than the other. It suites all types of faces.

Corkscrew curls: might also be referred to as ringlets, Botticelli curls or spiral curls. It’s a type of curl formation curled to hang in a spiral shape.

Ballerina bun: involves twisting and wrapping your ponytail into a bun shape.

Cleopatra bob: fits well for an oval face shape. It’s a kind of hairstyle that gives a seductive peek- a-boo effect.

Retro marcel weaves: is an alter hairstyle but definitely the hairstyle is Peng. It’s sleek and gorgeous. Although easiest to style on short and bobbed hair, the look can be created with long hair by tying at the nape of the neck.
