WHY MOVIE ICON, CLARION CHUKWURA, HAS BEEN OFF THE SCENE

 Suddenly she dropped off the movie scene. For years Screen diva Clarion Chukwura dominated the movie scene like a colossus, acting in at least one out of every 3 serious A Class movies rocking the industry especially the cinema movies.

But she went abroad for a while to rest. She is back. She has been acting for about 40 years. And she has done a good job of that.

Though she is back, she has slowed down considerably, choosing which movies to act in. You can't blame her. She has paid her dues.

Although she has been back for a year now she is not back to the old mainstream Nollywood. She does not do regular movies any longer. She has been busy with other things like documentaries. Is she retiring any time soon? Nooooo she says. I am not. I am just more interested in Special Projects. 

Most of my colleagues at my level don't do the regular Nollywood movies anymore. I am actually now looking at returning to the scene with a new management on cinema movies. She is now into Evangelism and Prayer Ministry which is central to who she is.
