Delectable Mumilimaye, Pretty Face With Sexy Hands

We often treat our face like a work of art, slathering on the best creams, sunscreens, anti-agers in order to preserve its youthfulness and look beautiful. No doubt, the face is the crown of our body, so it gets all the attention all the time but what about our hands?

From formal handshakes with business associates to holding our loved ones and moving items, we use our hands frequently. Considering the huge responsibility our hands perform, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say we don't always give them the kind of care and attention they deserve.

I have seen some super gorgeous ladies with pretty faces, but when they stretch their hands, they are complete opposite of their faces. From the over-bleached hands, to prominent vein, dry, cracked and many eyesore!

We should understand that without a targetted regimen and protection, the hands can age a person faster than the face.

WHAT CAN MAKE YOUR HANDS LOOK ROUGH AND AGED?

1) NATURE. At old age, the loss of fat volume that occurs with aging exposes the veins that were previously tucked in.
2) CHEMICALS. Exposing our hands to harsh chemicals,  detergents,  bleaching creams and knuckle eraser. This can increase dryness and inflammation.
3) DISEASES. Skin diseases like chicken pox
4) Burns
5) Iron deficiency
6) Hot water, heat and sun exposures

WAYS TO MAKE YOUR HANDS LOOK SOFT, BEAUTIFUL AND YOUNGER

1) CLEANING. Wash your hands regularly with lukewarm water. There's no number of times stipulated, rather, it is advisable you wash your hands every-time you are in contact with dirts, stains and chemicals

2) MOISTURIZER. Moisturize your hands like your life depends on it. Moisturizers lock in moisture, plumps and help your hands look younger. Keep a pocket size moisturizer in your bag everywhere you go and apply each time you wash your hands. Apply hand moisturizer last thing at night to work on your hands overnight. In the summer, use a lightweight moisturizers while during harmattan, something heavier like Shea butter,  coconut oil. Example of hand  Moisturizers  are:  hand cream,  lightweight body moisturizers, baby lotion (usually light weight with no harmful ingredient), clear aloe Vera gel, baby jelly, Shea butter, coconut oil etc

2) PROTECT. Wear gloves when using industrial harsh chemicals

3) AVOID HEAT. Use warm water to remove grease and oil. Avoid the use of hot water

4) Don't apply harsh bleaching chemicals, knuckle erasers on the hands.

5) EXFOLIATE. Scrub your hands once a week to get rid of dead skin cells. Use gentle exfoliants, nothing too abrasive. You can make your own exfoliants at home (sugar + olive/coconut oil). You can add lemon juice too

6) MASSAGE: Once you lay on bed at night, make a routine of massaging your hand for about 3 minutes or more to allow the moisturizer soak into your hands. For very dry flaky hands, mix moisturizer with Vaseline /jelly overnight

7) PAMPER. Indulge your hands in a manicure at least once a month, to get thoroughly cleaned, exfoliate and massaged. At home, ensure you trim and file your nails at least once in two weeks, always file your nail in one direction rather than a seesaw direction

8) NAIL POLISH. Change your nail polish often, always use a base coat, so that your nails are not stained with the polish colors. Use false nails and extensions ONLY if it beautify your hands. Overly long nails are not for everyone! It makes some hands look like claws! It might suit you better to keep your nails short, well shaped and still look sophisticated. Know what suits you and stick to it

9) EAT RIGHT. What you eat is very important, proteins, vitamin B, vitamin E, supplements should be a part of your daily diet

10) WATER. If water is very good for glowing skin, its definitely good for your hands too. Drink a minimum of 4 bottles of 75cl water daily

For all these regimen to give desired result, remember to be INTENTIONAL and CONSISTENT with the process. You must deliberately create time and do it over a period of time. If it’s difficult to do all, please make moisturizer your priority and avoid all havoc wreckers.

It is my intention to inform never to dissuade or discriminate against any skin decision. This advice shouldn't replace that of a licensed medical practitioner

Remain beauty-full
