Walk In Heels Without Pain

* Feel relaxed when walking in heels: because you feel more comfortable and make you less likely to hurt yourself. When walking in heels, your legs alone aren’t only the part that walks , your lower back and abdomen are walking hard too. Don’t stiffen your legs when walking in heels, you can only stiffen your legs when you notice you want to fall.

* Baby steps: you shouldn’t run or stride in heels if you don’t wear them often. Try to take smaller, slower steps than you would in lower shoes and don’t run before you can walk.

* Practice wearing heels around the house : if you are not used in walking with heels. Practice is key to get fond of wearing heels and at the same time feeling comfortable. Wearing heels the first time, you might feel awkward but don’t give up, just overcome your fear.

* Never wear shoes without breaking them in: try your new shoes around the house before wearing them out.

* Perfect size: your heels should be your perfect size, it reliefs you the stress. Shoes that are constantly slipping off your foot can actually be dangerous because you run the risk of stepping right out of them.

* Work your way up: start with a mid-height heel and once you are used to start walking in those , gradually you can upgrade to another height.

* The thicker the heel, the easier it’s to walk on: the thinner the heel, the harder it will be to balance on it. When you are still getting used to walking in high heels, choose thicker , sturdier heels which will give the foot more stability .

* Platform soles makes high heels feel lower: platform shoes might look crazily high but they can actually be much easier to walk in than non-platforms, the platform makes the heel feel shorter.

* Rough up the soles: a lot of high heeled shoes have soles which are completely smooth and don’t offer any grip at all and that makes them even harder to walk in. You can use scissors to carefully score the soles or you buy a stick-on soles which will give your shoes more grip.
