Chanty's Fashion and Lifestyle: Fashion Focus Spotlight

Meeting HRH Princess Moradeun Adedoyin-Solarin for the first time, one cannot help notice her bubbly personality,  coupled with an aura of dignity. Rightly so, because she is of royal birth.
Her fashion statement stands out, and one cannot help but ask what inspires such style choices.

Although her mother died young,  she never forgot these  “dare to be different” style choices. One of which was putting a zip on a Buba blouse in the olden days when It was unheard of. This often created a buzz. Like a true daughter, she has followed her mum’s style to this day.

From the moment I met her, I noticed the fusion of cultures, with an ability to make the blend work seamlessly. It intrigued me, I wanted to know more.

In her statement, as a newscaster in the 70s with NTA Lagos, she wore Gèlè with her pantsuits. One can only imagine the stares back then. One thing is for sure, listening to one of her role models,

Aunty  Julie Coker, about building confidence, paid off. She has since owned her style.
Curious about the South African influence with some of her outfits, especially the hat, she informed that It was given to her by Mama Africa, the late South African songstress Mariam Makeba.
When in full royal regalia, which is very often, she is seen with her "irukere" given by her father in honour of her royal status as the first daughter.

HRH Princess Moradeun Adedoyin-Solarin is a Pan African, and a humanitarian who sits on the board of different charities. One of which is the Girl Child Network which started in a small Zimbabwean village.
