Yeye Ewa Olayinka Sanni is
50. That is the big news rocking the social scene in both Lagos and the US where
she is based. This is because she is popular and well-loved. She will be
celebrating her birthday on the 28th of May 2020, but on a low key level, with
her family members. A few days back she spoke to Citypeople Publisher Seye
Kehinde about her new life at 50. Below are excerpts of the interview.

Congratulations on your 50th
birthday. How do you feel at 50? What's on your mind right now?
Well turning 50 means that I have
lived half a life. I'm very thankful to my god for letting me see 50 and I'm
also happy with everything that I have accomplished up to this point. I pray to
see many more birthdays in the future.
How do you plan to celebrate
it? What was your original plan?
My original plan was to have a
VERY big party at the MGM grand hotel however because of the recent COVID-19
outbreak plans unfortunately have had to be changed. Now I plan to celebrate my
50th birthday with my precious family who I love dearly and use the money that
was originally going to be spent on the hotel to do something good in the world
as a way to give back to my country.
Tell us about Yeye Ewa.What do
you do?
Well I am a hard working Nigerian
woman, everything I own I worked my hardest to get. I also run a business back
in my Nigeria and also I'm a healthcare worker. You could say I have a busy
life but I do find a way to make time for myself and my family
Tell us where you were born Where
did you grow up and schools attended
I was born in shomolu in Nigeria,
where I attended UNA primary school as a adolescent, then to SAINT LUKE'S
grammar school for secondary school former cms5 bariga then later I attended
Yaba college of technology where I did my ND in business administration.
Why did you relocate to the US?
I relocated to the US simply for
a better opportunity for me and my growing family
Tell us about your husband and
children.
My husband a sergeant officer
that works very hard for his family. My first born is growing psychologist who
got her first house by herself recently. My second child is computer science
major at Bowie State University in his 2nd Year. My last 2 children are both
still in grade school.
Tell us about your love for
Fashion. How did it start?
Fashion has always been a passion
of mine since even before relocating. I have a great love for it and the
fashion industry.
How do you feel being a Yeye Ewa
?
I feel great being Yeye Ewa it's
a great honor to have this title, it fills me great pride and honor. It shows
me that my hard work has paid off.
