Ify Augustina Mordi is one of the leading skincare specialists in Nigeria today. She runs a damn good skincare company which many ladies rush to for their skincare needs. Its called Annora secrets skincare.

Recently she told Citypeople Online Fashion and Beauty magazine Publisher, Seye kehinde how she helps many beautiful ladies achieve flawless & glowing skin.

Below are excerpts of the interview.

Tell me about Annora secrets. What services do you offer?

We offer services such as personalized skin care, skin repair and rejuvenation, Anti- aging treatment, different types of facials and enhancements, full body exfoliation, stress positive eye treatment, waxing services and general consultations.

What are the major skincare mistakes ladies make?

Well from my experience in this field and with few of my clients., some use products the wrong way, while some over- exfoliate their skin or don't even exfoliate at all., some ladies use too many products at the same time, some hardly wear sunscreen  protection thereby leading to exposures to UV rays and sunburn. Some don't follow prescriptions rightly, some sleep with makeup on, also lack of consistency and patience while on a routine, lack of appropriate sleep and stress etc.

You blessed with a flawless skin that glows. What is the secret?

Well, I try to reduce stress most importantly, I exfoliate my skin with our custom- made scrub, I go for relaxed massages once in a while to reduce stress and increase blood flow/circulation., and I’m presently on a diet plan so I do more of fruits and fibre. I try not to sleep with makeup on at night and I'm very consistent with my beauty care regimes, I don't joke with my facials routines and I exercise twice a weekly.

Why did you choose to become a skincare specialist at the time you did?

Majorly I decided to get registered in a beauty school because of the challenges I encountered and also other ladies battle in skincare journies. I also love the exposure it gives by allowing me to interact with different people both old and young, also to improve and practice customer service and communication skills. As well as to be able to help women provide the right treatments and products to help achieve a certain goal whether it is to improve skin tone, fight aging signs or find a solution for a skin problem.

What has always been your advice to the ladies who come to you for help?

For a fellow lady to come to me , it means she has so much respect and trust for me and considers me a good source of information, I advise them to take time to know themselves and what they really want, they shouldn't just make assumptions, they should also be patient and persistent and be their best at all times. Luck also comes from hard work, (i mean when timing and talent intersect), also they should listen to learn, don't try to impress everyone, no task is beneath you, work hard in silence and let success make the noise..
