Many people don't know that there is a difference between being a Fashion designer and Fashion Stylist and even being called a Tailor. There is a great difference. We can tell you that authoritatively. Because many don't know they use the 3 titles interchangeably.  The difference between a Fashion Stylist, Designer and Tailor
A fashion stylist, designer and tailor are found in the fashion industry but their work are different but people often make the mistakes.

Fashion designer: conduct research on fashion trends and interpret them for their audience. Fashion design is the art of applying design, aesthetics and natural beauty to clothing and its accessories. It’s influenced by cultural and social attitudes. Fashion designers are spontaneous with their designs because are always expecting more from them and they tend to play around and they get inspired with designs from anything artistic and bring it to form a design.

Fashion designers consider the consumers that is likely to wear the garment and the situations in which it will be worn and they work within a range of materials, colors, pattern and styles. Fashion designers often sketch their designs on sketch pads to exhibit the visual form before bringing it to life with fabrics and some drape their fabrics on dress forms. When the designer is satiated, he or she summons the consult of a pattern maker who takes the design to the next level by bringing out the cut and look on a drafted fabric or a sheet board, cut it out and seam to the perfect size and the design is brought to life.

Tailor: is a person who makes, repairs or alters clothing professionally. The term refers to a set of specific hand and sewing machine and pressing techniques that are unique to the construction of traditional garments.

They may create new pieces of clothing from patterns and designs;
-Tailor’s measure clients to ensure a fitted size of clothing.
-Cut and measure fabric according to a pattern or design.
-Mark garments to note where alterations are necessary.
-Open seams to hem garments and to make other alterations.
-Sew clothing by hand, using a needle and thread or with sewing machines.
-Fit clothing on customers to determine if additional alterations are necessary.

Tailor’s work with designers or customers to make new garments, they take orders from customers and help them select fabrics and colors. Tailor’s help Fashion designers to translate their designs into finished pieces of clothing.

Fashion stylist: they provide fashion advice, choosing and coordinating outfits. They are professionals who merges your clothing, hair, shoes and accessories in the way they should look. Fashion stylist diversify your looks from the usual and make you look different. They know what exactly fits your body frame, tone and height.

Fashion stylist keeps up to date with fashion with current and changing trends in fashion and design. They advise their clients on fashion styling for visuals.  Fashion stylists may be employed in a wide array of industries and they may work with clients who are quite famous or want to look their best always.
