This is the story of a successful Fashion stylist in the UK. She is good at what she does. City people recently got her to tell us her success story. It is inspiring and elevating.
"I am Ronke Awe. I am happily married with 3 beautiful
children and I live in the UK (England). I am a Phlebotomist by profession
and I have a passion for fashion.
I grew up in Nigeria.
How did she get into Fashion? "Growing up in Nigeria as
a child I have always loved to play dress up and I love bright colours. I
started by helping my sisters and friends to sort out clothes for outings and
helping them with some shopping as well. I am very creative, I have always
loved to experiment with fashion, seeing what works and what does not, and
working out why it doesn’t work.
We got her to tell us a bit about Fashion styling."For
me it is something that comes within, you can't actually learn it. But I
believe in education.
How did she turn her passion to career? " I decided to
learn more about it. So I went to University of Art of London for a short
course in Fashion Media Styling.
What does she love about Fashion?
"What I love about fashion is, how it can define you as
a person. From: the colours you choose, the styles, the accessories, they all
combine to give you an overall style that is unique for you."
