Her style in focus is how well she portrays the Niger Delta
woman through her outfits. Although she holds an office where power dressing
should be a given, she is often spotted at different occasions in the
traditional ensemble of the double wrapper, blouse and head tie, popularly called
gèlè. This indicates to me a woman, very confident selling her culture and
tradition to the world at every given opportunity.
Honourable Anengi Barasua is a Bonny native, who grew up in
Port-Harcourt. She is an alumnus of the popular 'Girls Secondary School Harbour
Road, a true "Pitakwa" girl and a daughter of the Niger Delta who is
a role model to many young men and women.
